Odd semester 2026-27: key dates

These dates come from AKTU’s Academic Calendar 2026-27 (Ref AKTU/RO/2026/12402, dated 3 Jul 2026).

Event Date
Last date for exam form, regular and carry-over, with fee 1 Nov 2026
Last date for colleges to submit sessional marks 16 Nov 2026
End semester theory exams (all programmes except B.Pharm newly admitted) 24 Nov to 27 Dec 2026
B.Pharm newly admitted (1st and 3rd semester) theory 3 Dec to 24 Dec 2026
Practical exams 7 Dec to 24 Dec 2026
Answer sheet evaluation starts 9 Dec 2026
Result 15 Jan 2027
Winter vacation Last exam day to 31 Dec 2026

AKTU’s notice says these dates may change with AICTE or PCI updates. The PDF prints “2025” for the B.Pharm theory start and for the practical start, which is clearly a typo for 2026.

The subject-wise date sheet has not been released as of 22 Oct 2026. For comparison, last session AKTU issued a tentative odd-semester schedule on 2 Dec 2025 and the final schedule on 20 Dec 2025.

Carry-over exam 2026 for final-year students

Date change: all papers scheduled for 24 Oct 2026 have moved to Monday 2 Nov 2026. Download a new admit card before you go (AKTU notice, 22 Oct).

This exam is for regular students who sat the 2025-26 final-year exams and have one or more theory carry-over papers. It covers:

Practical, internal and improvement subjects are not included.

The form was on ERP from 5 to 10 Oct 2026 (notice of 5 Oct). The final schedule and centre list is dated 13 Oct. Exams run from 15 Oct to 31 Oct, plus the papers moved to 2 Nov, at centres in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Meerut, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. AKTU sent admit cards to each student’s ERP login and WhatsApp number on 14 Oct.

On 16 Oct AKTU added two MBA 4th semester papers: KMBNMK04 Sales and Retail Management on 23 Oct, and KMBNMK05 Social Media and Web Analytics on 26 Oct.

Most papers run from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, with reporting at 1:30 PM. The MBA (Gr) papers on 23, 26 and 29 Oct, and KMBN401 (now on 2 Nov), run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with reporting at 9:00 AM. The schedule prints that reporting time as “9:00 PM”, which reads as a typo; the reporting notice of 14 Oct gives 9:00 AM.

Exam day rules

AKTU issued these for the carry-over exam in two notices on 14 Oct: one on reporting time and entry, and one on entry time and banned items.

Shift Report by Exam starts
Morning 9:00 AM 9:30 AM
Evening 1:30 PM 2:00 PM

There is no entry after the reporting time. Bring your admit card, your Aadhaar card and your institute ID card.

Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices and any other electronic device are banned, and so are chits and notes. Do not write your name, roll number, signature or any identifying mark anywhere on the answer book except the space given for it.

These rules were written for the carry-over exam. AKTU normally repeats rules like these for the semester exams, but we have not seen a notice for the odd semester yet, so check once the date sheet is out.

Questions students ask

When will the AKTU odd semester date sheet be released?

It has not been released as of 22 Oct 2026. Last session AKTU issued a tentative odd-semester exam schedule on 2 Dec 2025 and the final schedule on 20 Dec 2025, three days before exams began on 23 Dec. This year the calendar puts theory exams from 24 Nov, so the schedule should come out in November, but AKTU has not announced a date. We will link it here the day it appears.

What is the last date to fill the exam form?

1 Nov 2026, for both regular and carry-over papers, with the fee. This comes from AKTU's Academic Calendar 2026-27. Dates can change, so check the latest circular on the circulars page.

When will the odd semester result be declared?

The academic calendar gives 15 Jan 2027. AKTU says dates may change, so treat it as a target and not a promise.

Which calculators are allowed in AKTU exams?

A notice dated 14 Sep 2018 allows non-programmable calculators in semester exams and lists specific Casio, Orpat, HP and Texas Instruments models. It is the most recent list we found. If your model is not on it, ask your exam centre before the exam.

What happens if I reach the exam centre after reporting time?

You will not be allowed in. AKTU's carry-over exam notice of 14 Oct 2026 says there is no entry after the reporting time. Reporting time is 9:00 AM for the morning shift and 1:30 PM for the evening shift.
